There are basically two ways to make a slot series. You can pile on new installments that are similar, but with different tweaks and additions per installment, or you can make many different versions of the same game. The Coins series from Wazdan does a bit of both. 15 Coins™ follows closely in the footsteps of the predecessor, 12 Coins™, but the grid has been increased from 4x3 to 5x3 in this game. Visually, it’s more or less the same game, and most of the features are the same as well.
Since you cannot win anything in the base game (except the Hold the Jackpot Bonus, of course), the Chance Level ante bet feature is a welcome addition. It gives you 3 options which can increase your Hold the Jackpot Bonus chances by up to 5x, and you can also choose pace and volatility from 3 options as usual. The Hold the Jackpot feature comes with plenty of special symbols that will benefit you, and filling the grid cracks the 1,000x potential.
The Chance Level ante bet feature is turned off by default, but you can choose between 3 settings between base game spins. Quite simply, you need to pay 2x, 3x, or 5x your stake to get a 2x, 3x, or 5x higher Hold the Jackpot Bonus chance, respectively. You cannot win anything in the base game, and you need to fill the middle row with a mix of bonus symbols of any kind to trigger the bonus round.
The Cash Infinity symbol can help you out in that regard, but only if it appears on the middle row. It comes with a cash prize value between 5x and 10x your stake, and it remains sticky until its prize is added to your total win in the next bonus round. It remains sticky on any position in the base game, but you need it on the middle row to help trigger the feature.
The Hold the Jackpot Bonus Round triggers when the middle row is filled with any kind of bonus symbols, and the triggering symbols (plus any sticky Cash to Infinity symbols) become sticky on an otherwise cleared grid. You start with 3 respins, and the tally resets for each new bonus symbol you land. All bonus symbols that appear in the feature become sticky as well.
Regular cash bonus symbols come with cash prizes between 1x and 5x your stake, while the Mini, Minor, and Major jackpot symbols come with prizes of 10x, 20x, and 50x your stake, respectively. The Accumulator Symbol collects all prize values from cash and cash to infinity symbols, and the total is then boosted by a random multiplier between x1 and x20.
You can also land Mystery Symbols and Jackpot Mystery symbols. The regular Mystery Symbol turns into a random bonus symbol at the end of the feature (it cannot turn into the cash to infinity symbol, however). The Jackpot Mystery symbol turns into one of the 3 jackpot symbols mentioned above.
If you manage to fill all 15 positions with any kind of symbol, the 1,000x Grand Jackpot is awarded. If not, the sum total of your winnings are awarded as the bonus round ends. This happens when you run out of respins without having filled all 15 positions with symbols.
Finally, the Bonus Buy menu is available in some jurisdictions, but not in the Ireland for sure. It comes with the following 5 bonus buy options:
